FAQ

Before you ask

Other questions: [email protected]

Where do the numbers come from?
From independent bookmakers' prices that we collect ourselves. Bookmakers sharing a trading desk count once. We publish derived figures only, never a single bookmaker's price, and we name no bookmaker.
How fresh is the data?
Every row says how old it is: price_age_s (since the figure last changed) and read_age_s (since we last confirmed its newest input). /v1/status shows our newest data. Free Sample keys are 2 hours delayed; paid plans are not. We make no speed claim.
What does the free Sample key include?
The same endpoints and fields as paid plans: yesterday's matches, plus today and the next 2 days on a 2-hour delay (meta.delay_minutes: 120), up to 300 rows per answer. 200 requests a day, 5 a minute, for internal testing and evaluation. The key arrives by email in a minute, with no review and no card.
How far back does each plan reach?
Sample yesterday only, Starter 90 days, Pro and Business no cap, counted back from today (UTC). No plan reaches before 10 Oct 2026, the first match day we hold, so until a plan's depth is reached its history runs from that day. /v1/status gives that day as history_from; earlier dates answer 403 plan_scope.
Can I download a whole day as a file?
Yes. /v1/close.csv?date=YYYY-MM-DD gives one kick-off day of consensus closing prices as a CSV file, with the same columns as the JSON rows. It counts as one request, and the docs page has a download button.
What is a fair price?
A bookmaker's price includes its margin. The fair price takes each margin out and agrees one figure across at least three independent bookmakers, shown as a price and as a probability.
What is a consensus closing price?
The fair price as it stood at kick-off, agreed across at least three independent bookmakers. Brands that share one trading desk count once.
What is CLV grading?
Closing-line value. You send us a batch of prices (POST /v1/clv), with the time you took or published each one if you have it. Each comes back with its CLV against the consensus close: how much better or worse than the close it was. A price taken after kick-off is never graded. Each graded price also shows how it compared with our fair price at that time. Takeable grading (on Pro: whether each price was seen at our sources when it was taken) is being finalised; until then every graded price says takeable: "unchecked".
What happens if I go over my limit?
The call answers 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After header, and you wait. Nothing is billed and no plan is upgraded automatically. The daily count resets at midnight UTC.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Starter and Pro renew monthly by card. Write to [email protected] to cancel; the key stops working when the subscription ends. The free Sample key has no contract.
